What are the benefits of Segments/Pads/Batts?

- Offers excellent flexibility for fitting around obstacles like pipes, wires and lighting fixtures in ceiling spaces

- Pre-cut sizes make installation more precise and reduce waste compared to roll form insulation

- Generally smaller bales for ease of handling in confined ceiling spaces

Where should you install Segments/Pads/Batts?

- Perfect for ceiling spaces with multiple obstructions or irregular joist spacing where full rolls would be difficult to install

- Ideal for smaller areas and touch-up work where full rolls would be impractical

How do you choose the right Segments/Pads/Batts?

- All Segments are made in similar lengths and width - Glass wool like Bradford Gold and Pink Batts can be easily cut to a snug friction fit whilst Polyester segments are harder to cut and generally best used when the fit is exact.

- Consider the thickness of the product you select, especially where the roof pitch is low - the higher the R Value, the thicker the insulation will be

- Consider the material type (polyester, glass wool etc.) based on your handling preferences and any allergies or sensitivities

- Remember to always maintain a 25mm clearance from the roof / building paper to avoid moisture / condesation build up
